Women's Huarache Sandals
Handmade leather huarache sandals for women, made in Mexico. Ninety-eight styles of Mexican sandals for women, each pair cut and woven by hand.
Every pair starts with genuine leather, often vaqueta in its natural tone. The artisan cuts the hide into strips and weaves them by hand across the last, pulling each strand tight so the shoe holds its shape without glue doing the structural work. That is why no two pairs are identical — the weave shows the hand that made it.
What you'll find here:
- Closed-toe huarache sandals — the dressier end of the range, and the ones that carry past summer.
- Open-toe huaraches — maximum airflow for hot weather.
- Platform and heeled huaraches — a little height without giving up the woven leather.
- Embroidered huaraches — hand embroidery worked into the leather.
- Pachuco huaraches for women — the classic traditional weave.
Leather gives about half a size over the first two weeks and moulds to your foot. If you are between sizes, order the smaller one — and check the size guide before ordering, because the women's conversion is not the same as the men's.
