Open-toe huarache sandals for men in honey brown, hand-woven in Mexico from genuine leather. Fine leather strips are woven into a chevron vamp finished with a pointed centre panel, and the back panel is left in undyed natural leather, so the pair reads in two tones: honey outside, raw at the heel.

That back panel is fixed โ€” a woven counter with no buckle and no laces โ€” so there is nothing to fasten or adjust.

What sets this pair apart is how it is built. Every pair is woven by hand, strip by strip: the pattern is made by hand, not stamped. The midsole is natural leather, left visible all around the edge and joined with stitching you can follow from toe to heel. Under it sits a black rubber sole with a wave tread. The footbed and lining are also undyed vaqueta leather in a raw, uncoloured finish, and the dyed leather outside is glossy rather than matte.

Because the toe is open, your toes sit uncovered at the front and the sandal breathes at the toe and through the open sides of the weave. Honey brown is a light tan that works with denim, linen, shorts or a guayabera: summer sandals for men that do not read as beachwear.
